Dear all,
I am not sure how to map the German PAM Profile extensions to FHIR, especially the German Encounter Classes.
I am missing values for pre-inpatient, post-inpatient, semi-residential, recurring patient, chaperon, unknown and "not applicable".
The "preadmit" value can be expressed by a combination of Encounter.status and Encounter.class.

The Encounter.class is an inline code system and is per se fixed. If a want to use the "other" code I should use an extension to explain what "other" means. IMHO, the defined Encounter extensions does not fit for me. Have somone an idea?

This sounds like something we should add to the German base profiles we are currently working on (see the discussions regarding these in https://chat.fhir.org/#narrow/stream/german.20(d-a-ch) ).
Also there has been some work on v2 to FHIR, I suppose @Simone Heckmann can tell you more.

Yes, we could do this. But I am wondering that no one before has the need to extend the value set in respect of national requirements.

Someone must have, otherwise the binding wouldn't have been changed from "required" to "extensible" in STU3 ;-)

Yes, if I were able to read ... :-)
