The placing of RelatedPerson.relationship in RelatedPerson suggests to me that it should hold the relationship of the RP to the patient, so if the relationship is "adopted child", this means that the RP is the adopted child of the Patient. But the definition "The nature of the relationship between a patient and the related person." suggests that I am reading this the wrong way.
Which way should this be read?
Let's clarify the documentation.

It's definitely RelatedPerson to Patient. Feel free to submit a change request to make that very explicit.
