Topic: Canonical url support in fhir-ig publisher

We are using the fhir-ig-publisher for our resources. The result shows an error about URIs like this:
Unknown Code urn:oid:2.16.840.1.113883.2.4.3.11.22.472#1 in urn:oid:2.16.840.1.113883.2.4.3.11.22.472 for 'urn:oid:2.16.840.1.113883.2.4.3.11.22.472#1'
The input folder, among other things contains a CodeSystem resource with id=2.16.840.1.113883.2.4.3.11.22.472 and canonical uri=urn:oid:2.16.840.1.113883.2.4.3.11.22.472 and includes the aforementioned code.
When we use a canonical url based CodeSystem this type of error does not occur, however we are not in a position (not the owners) of each individual OID we have been using over time. Is this somerthing the IG Publisher could be updated for so canonical uri, whatever the exact nature (urn/url) is equally supported?
