Topic: C-CDA to FHIR mapping
Piotr Sokoliński (Oct 07 2021 at 10:20):
Hello, my question is how to read mapping for resources, especially inbound and outbound relationships, for instance (https://www.hl7.org/fhir/condition-mappings.html#rim). Some relationships seem incorrect because some of the values on the right-hand side of the table do not exist in the C-CDA documentation of the templates (https://hl7.org/ccdasearch/templates/2.16.840.1.113883.10.20.22.4.4.html - template that should be mapped to Condition). Could someone explain it briefly to me? Thanks in advance!

The mapping shown is to the HL7v3 RIM, not to CCDA. Such mappings are mere informational and not intended as (the basis for) implementations. If you're looking for a mapping from CCDA to FHIR, you should look elsewhere, e.g. https://github.com/HL7/ccda-to-fhir/ , http://www.hl7.org/fhir/us/ccda/ or others that the US-based FHIR community would care to suggest. Note that tehre is a #cda to fhir stream on this forum where you're likely to find others working on similar issues.

Thank you! I used RIM because I could not find any better "mapping". I will look into links that you provided.
