I'm not sure if this is the place to report broken links on the website so please direct me to where I should do that in the future, but the "DAF Medication Usage" and "DAF Prescription" links in the table here are broken https://www.hl7.org/fhir/profiling.html#glossary

In the red block at the bottom of every page is a link to the change request system: Propose a change You may have to register.

Any plans to make this easier for devs to report issues with documentation? Most people won't report issues b/c of the cumbersome process of having to register for something they'll likely never use again..

anything we create that doesn't require registration with manual checking will be flooded with spam

How do I specify the id I want when I create the patient information? Thank you

I've seen this on a bunch of websites where they have a link to the documentation on github and someone can propose a change like at the bottom of this page (or any page on the quasar website) https://quasar-framework.org/guide/

The reason i'm suggesting is b/c i tried to register for an account on gforge like a month ago to report an issue with the documentation, if i remember right my account wasn't immediately accepted and I had to wait for someone to approve my account. Trying again to login to gforge now, my account is not recognized and i'm already over trying to repot a simple broken link.

it should have been approved pretty quickly - sorry about that. We are working to move our issue tracking to something more up to date which should ease our administrative burden - scheduled to change over late Dec/Early Jan

the documentation has grown to be pretty complicated in how it's built, so 'suggest a change using a GH PR' like that would rarely be workable. Ironically, in your case, it's possible. So you could make here:

though if you're not in the sub-population that (a) has a gh account and (b) knows what forking means, then that's way more administrative burden

@WeiDing

How do I specify the id I want when I create the patient information? Thank you

I think you need to provide more context - or is in the wrong topic?

view this post on Zulip Tom Caflisch (Nov 12 2018 at 06:24):

Thanks @Grahame Grieve . Just realized I don't actually know what the correct links should be though..

I did notice that this line https://github.com/HL7/fhir/blob/master/source/profiling.html#L72 does not match what's actually displayed in the "Conformance Resource" row link here https://www.hl7.org/fhir/profiling.html#glossary

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Nov 12 2018 at 06:27):

right. we're working on the version published at build.fhir.org

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Nov 12 2018 at 06:28):

hopefully we'll update the version at hl7.org/fhir late this year

view this post on Zulip WeiDing (Nov 12 2018 at 06:30):

Thank you for your reply. For example, I created patient information and specified id on the test server, but the results returned were not what I wanted. For example, I saved a patient id of 3, but stored in the database with an id of 5.That way I can't find the patient's information by querying the id I entered.

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Nov 12 2018 at 06:30):

and I see we have fixed the version at build.fhir.org

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Nov 12 2018 at 06:31):

Did you do a POST or a PUT? read this: http://build.fhir.org/http.html#upsert

@Tom Caflisch looks like your id was approved but never activated. The activation email may have ended up in your spam folder where you didn't see it. I've manually activated you. (Hopefully your email was right :)) In any event, you should be good to submit.

I used it on the test server.I created a patient's information and assigned an id. The result is that the server returns me an assigned id. I want to ask what can I do if I want to use the id I specify?Because if I create a patient's information, the id that I know is not the same as the id that my server assigned to me, then I can't find the patient's information.I just met fhir.I'm really sorry.

view this post on Zulip Lloyd McKenzie (Nov 12 2018 at 12:12):

If you do a POST, the server assigns the id. If you do a PUT with an id (and the server allows), you get to assign the id. In the case of a POST, the server echoes back the id it assigned, so you can find the record in the future.

Ok, thank you very much!

hey all. I'm new to this chat service, but I'm trying to figure out how to submit a small bug I found in the fhir website. This page https://www.hl7.org/fhir/profiling.html#glossary has a two links to "US Core Capability Statements" and "DAF Problem Value Set" that both result in 404 not found errors when I click on them. I found in this chat service that this jira for FHIR exists https://jira.hl7.org/ ... should I create an account there and then create a ticket for this? Not sure what the process is for something like this.

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Mar 30 2020 at 22:27):

yes you should - thanks

view this post on Zulip Nathan Loyer (Mar 30 2020 at 22:35):

ok, will do
