Topic: build is using all my cpu

I'm runing the fhir build on my macbook air and it is using all my cpu and slowing the entire system down. Is there a command I can use to limit how much the jar uses? Alternatively is there virtual environment in AWS, Azure or other cloud service that I can clone to run it there instead?
