There is a value set for YesNoDontKnow listed in the Value Sets Defined in FHIR, but there is no URL defined for it. Is this intended to be used? If so, how? Pharmacy needs this for a binding to a new attribute. It seems to be an example of the valueset resource that has been pulled into the list.
Should we define our own?

Canonical URL is http://hl7.org/fhir/ValueSet/yesnodontknow

However, I don't know if it's a "good idea" to bind to example value sets

And I don't know why example value sets are showing up in the list of value sets in terminology. I think we should separate "real" things from "Example" things.

@Grahame Grieve ?

a mash up of v2 an v3

@Eric Haas too many values that aren’t appropriate

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Mar 26 2019 at 20:01):

what makes it an example?

view this post on Zulip Lloyd McKenzie (Mar 26 2019 at 20:04):

It's pointed to as an example from the ValueSet spreadsheet. It's also not being recognized when Melva tries to bind to it.

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Mar 26 2019 at 20:19):

well, I think that one is very old and was done that before there was another way. It's always been intended to be real for Observation

view this post on Zulip Lloyd McKenzie (Mar 26 2019 at 20:21):

So we should move it into the terminologies folder and link it from that spreadsheet? Will that make it happier to be used?

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Mar 26 2019 at 21:21):

no we should reference it from fhir.ini instead of as a value set example

view this post on Zulip Melva Peters (Mar 27 2019 at 15:40):

What is the next step for this? Is there something I need to do?

view this post on Zulip Lloyd McKenzie (Mar 27 2019 at 15:44):

I'm not sure what Grahame means by "reference it from fhir.ini".

Try this one : http://build.fhir.org/v2/0532/index.html

I use that in the PHD IG for BITs measurement mapping. The 'don't know/unsupported' is a dataAbsentReason.

@Melva Peters It only has two values ... how can that be too many?

view this post on Zulip Melva Peters (Mar 28 2019 at 15:47):

@Brian Reinhold I see 9 values in this valueset. Am I looking at the wrong value set?

perhaps, I just use one of the code systems (a V2 code system) that has only two values, Y and N
