if MnM has approved there's no reason to revisit unless something has changed

The comment warning came up for DSTU2 and STU3. The difference is the element name changed from image to media which I guess triggering these warnings. I think media was brought to MNM on a different thread but is obviously not plural.

If MnM has approved an exception and you've just changed the name, then just fix the name in the suppressed-messages.txt file
