Topic: Tracker management
Lloyd McKenzie (Feb 14 2017 at 17:02):
Has anyone noticed their ability to make mass changes to tracker items has gone away?
Bryn Rhodes (Feb 14 2017 at 17:03):
Yes, I've seen people use that interface, but never had the ability myself. Always made me jealous.
Bryn Rhodes (Feb 14 2017 at 17:03):
I also can't seem to use the Assignment feature, it's never been available for me, which has been an issue, so I've resorted to just logging a comment that the issue is in progress.
Lloyd McKenzie (Feb 14 2017 at 17:05):
You weren't even set up as a tracker manager. That bit is now fixed
Lloyd McKenzie (Feb 14 2017 at 17:06):
Let me know if you see an ability to do mass updates now or just the ability to edit trackers (e.g. assign dispositions)
Bryn Rhodes (Feb 14 2017 at 17:09):
It usually shows up as a button next to New Tracker Item on the Browse page, right? If so, no, I still don't have that, though it looks like I can use the Assignment feature now, thanks!
Lloyd McKenzie (Feb 14 2017 at 18:36):
gForge support has been notified. They're working on a fix
Bryn Rhodes (Feb 17 2017 at 00:26):
FYI, I have mass update, thank you!
Bryn Rhodes (Feb 17 2017 at 00:27):
Also, it seems quite a bit snappier after the "reboot" :)
Michelle (Moseman) Miller (Feb 17 2017 at 15:41):
@Lloyd McKenzie I am unable to save changes to the "Assignee" field (and this used to work for me). For example, if it set "Assignee" to myself, save, and then view the gForge, it shows Nobody.
Richard Ettema (Feb 17 2017 at 15:44):
Yes, I reported this a few days ago and it's also still not working for me.
Lloyd McKenzie (Feb 17 2017 at 16:31):
sigh. ok
Lloyd McKenzie (Feb 17 2017 at 16:33):
Have reported it. Seems like it's a problem with privileges for the "assigner" role
Eric Haas (Feb 17 2017 at 18:38):
mmm..... works for me
Lloyd McKenzie (Feb 17 2017 at 19:50):
@Eric Haas @Michelle (Moseman) Miller @Richard Ettema That's very weird, as you all have identical permissions. What browsers are you using?
Richard Ettema (Feb 17 2017 at 19:57):
My primary browser is Firefox v51.0.1 (latest version).
Michelle (Moseman) Miller (Feb 17 2017 at 20:13):
I've tried both IE and Chrome.
Michelle (Moseman) Miller (Feb 17 2017 at 20:15):
@Eric Haas Have you tried viewing the gForge after saving it to make sure that the Assignee change was saved?
The gForges I updated previously (before the downtime) are still ok, but I can't get my changes to stick/save after the downtime.
Eric Haas (Feb 17 2017 at 21:49):
@Michelle (Moseman) Miller you are correct not working now for me either
Michelle (Moseman) Miller (Feb 17 2017 at 22:05):
@Eric Haas Ha, I'm here at your service to break gForge for you :)
Paul Knapp (Feb 17 2017 at 22:47):
I just did an update, succeeded but my commit is not working.
Paul Knapp (Feb 17 2017 at 23:18):
Updates work in little chunks, but not over 64K.
Lloyd McKenzie (Feb 22 2017 at 02:52):
The assigner issue is supposedly fixed. Can someone test?
