Topic: New resource in JIRA

view this post on Zulip John David Larkin Nolen (Feb 14 2022 at 18:06):

Recently added the first version of the Transport resource to the build. All good, and used a JIRA on Task to track the work.

Now we need to log JIRAs for changes/improvements.

What are the steps needed to get the Transport resource listed in the Related Artifact dropdown?

Thanks!

Hmm. That should happen automatically...

@Grahame Grieve?

I guess RelatedArtifact is only for canonical resources, so Transport wouldn't be a valid target. (And no, we definitely don't want to allow RelatedArtifact to be used for non-canonical resources, nor should Transport be a canonical resources.)

What in particular does JD (or one of us) need to do to get this to work in Jira (I think it's probably changed some since the last time I added a new resource)? @Lloyd McKenzie?

You mean add Transport to Jira? We'll add all the new resources and pages shortly before ballot. If you need to do it yourself, you could hand-edit the XML page for the core spec in JiraSpecArtifacts

That makes sense. Thanks. I wasn't quite sure if we would need to do something else, too.
