Topic: NCI Value Set Displays Missing
Michelle (Moseman) Miller (Sep 01 2019 at 15:06):
I created a new value set, http://build.fhir.org/valueset-adverse-event-outcome.html, but the displays aren't populated.
I used the code system URI (http://ncimeta.nci.nih.gov) defined in http://build.fhir.org/terminologies-systems.html and am using the CUIs as the code value per http://build.fhir.org/ncimeta.html.
Interestingly enough, I see another NCI value set, http://build.fhir.org/valueset-device-safety.html, that uses a code system of urn:oid:2.16.840.1.113883.3.26.1.1, which has displays populated.
Any idea if this is an issue with the terminology server or did I use the wrong NCI code system or code valuue (CUI vs NCI Thesaurus Code)?
Grahame Grieve (Sep 01 2019 at 22:33):
The terminology server does not support that code system. So the build tool can't populate the displays. the device safety one has the displays populated manually in the value set
Rob Hausam (Sep 01 2019 at 22:51):
Sounds like we should be supporting it?
Grahame Grieve (Sep 01 2019 at 23:17):
probably we should... I've done the work to do so, but I hadn't had the time to keep it current. It's distributed the same way as RxNorm, it's just way bigger
Rob Hausam (Sep 01 2019 at 23:22):
Is the infrastructure already there in the server to support it?
Grahame Grieve (Sep 01 2019 at 23:26):
yes. it's pretty much the as rxnorm except...
Grahame Grieve (Sep 01 2019 at 23:28):
type: ncimeta
instead of type: rxnorm
