Topic: Freeze Procedures
Grahame Grieve (Mar 26 2018 at 19:50):
The end of the mini-freeze is approaching. The freeze was for QA and to give the implementation guides something solid to work against. So changes for QA are about to arrive. QA is authorised to make non-substantiative changes and these may be made at will up to end of day 1st April. @David Hay how is QA going?
If you wish to make any substantiative changes prior to the end of the freeze, they must be proposed here in this topic. All other committers have 48 hours to raise any issue with the change going ahead, after which it is ok to make. If any objections are raised, we'll discuss them here.
Grahame Grieve (Mar 26 2018 at 20:09):
I have 5 changes to propose right now:
GF#15828
GF#15827
GF#15107
GF#14079
GF#11907 (possibly controversial?)
Grahame Grieve (Mar 26 2018 at 20:10):
Note that my publishing deadline looks pretty scary right now. I'll be pushing back pretty hard against any changes after the 1st deadline
Grahame Grieve (Mar 26 2018 at 20:15):
another task:
GF#15808
Eric Haas (Mar 26 2018 at 23:52):
can I fix and add new extensions ??
Lloyd McKenzie (Mar 27 2018 at 01:38):
Fix, only if you're sure no-one else is using them or coordinate with those who are. Add new ones shouldn't be a problem.
Grahame Grieve (Mar 27 2018 at 01:39):
yes new extensions are ok before the deadline

I have a few open tasks left with the build and IG publisher, but I'm not planning to work on any of them. I'm going to do some other work on the specification instead over the next couple of days. If you have any IG publisher or build issues that are already known, that you think that I need to address, please let me know ASAP
