The newest build requires an environment setting that you should ideally have already had - but if you don't have it now, the build will fail:
JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS="-Dfile.encoding=UTF-8"
On windows, you can do it under Control Panel, System, Advanced and define a new environment variable. Someone else will have to post how to do it on Mac

I updated ( after deleting the tools and implemention folders) it worked fine on my airbook
