What's the difference between Applied and Published regarding item status on gForge? I'm trying to close fixed issues but I'm not sure whether to choose Applied or Published. This distinction isn't clear to me after reading the Wiki page:

just set them to applied. That lets people know that the fix is in current build, but not the published standard. When we publish the next STU then we update them all to published
