I'm not sure where to raise this.
The Jira issue Address Datatype support for identifier has status Applied but I cannot find the described change in R5.
Is the need met by using the R4 defined extension identifier?

The extension identifier is in both R4 and R5.
What puzzles me is that the Jira issue has a resolution description and status of Applied, but I cannot find the described solution in R5.
I guess it was subsequently removed as redundant, because identifier does the job, already existed, and is more general.
