Stream: social
Topic: meta

We also need android & iphone clients
Josh Mandel (Nov 23 2015 at 13:59):
I meant stream "meta" :p
Josh Mandel (Nov 23 2015 at 13:59):
But yes -- there are open-source clients for iOS and Android, but neither is working with self-hosted Zulip yet. iOS app is under Apple review, and the Android app needs someone to add the feature where you point it at a user-selected server.
nicola (RIO/SS) (Nov 23 2015 at 13:59):
can i move post from one stream to another?
Josh Mandel (Nov 23 2015 at 13:59):
No.
nicola (RIO/SS) (Nov 23 2015 at 13:59):
:(
Dunmail (Nov 23 2015 at 14:00):
I tried the iOS app from the app store, but haven't got it working so far
Ewout Kramer (Nov 23 2015 at 14:00):
How would I have known there was a "meta" stream?
nicola (RIO/SS) (Nov 23 2015 at 14:00):
I think we can fix android & ios client

Good question. What do you see under Settings > Manage Streams ?
Josh Mandel (Nov 23 2015 at 14:01):
(Or click the gear next to the word "streams" in the left-had sidebar)
Ewout Kramer (Nov 23 2015 at 14:02):
Yes, I found it there now, but I had no idea I had to go to settings to see that you had created streams that I was not auto-subscribed too!
Ewout Kramer (Nov 23 2015 at 14:03):
You can move messages between topics, not between streams it seems!
Josh Mandel (Nov 23 2015 at 14:03):
Yeah, the notion is that streams can be public, but each individual decides which streams to subscribe to.
Josh Mandel (Nov 23 2015 at 15:09):
@nicola fixing the clients would be awesome. If you have the bandwidth to get involved, you should join the Zulip developers google group to discuss the plan before you dig in!
nicola (RIO/SS) (Nov 23 2015 at 15:18):
Thx, @Josh Mandel . I'd seen you pull-request and discussion :)
Michael Lawley (Feb 19 2016 at 05:45):
Phew, /Applications/Zulip.app/Contents/MacOS/Zulip --site https://chat.fhir.org seems to do the trick
Hussain Chinoy (Feb 19 2016 at 15:55):
Good find, @Michael Lawley - the app doesn't seem to have a UI config setting to change the single server it's connected to!
Hussain Chinoy (Feb 19 2016 at 19:06):
Hussain Chinoy (Feb 19 2016 at 19:06):
Aha, on OS X, with the Zulip desktop app, one can change the zulip server (aka "domain") via the app's title bar menu.
Grahame Grieve (Feb 21 2016 at 20:01):
I cannot find a windows equivalent for that
Ewout Kramer (Feb 22 2016 at 14:20):
But it's there....
Ewout Kramer (Feb 22 2016 at 14:26):
Ewout Kramer (Feb 22 2016 at 14:27):
Right-click the Zulip icon in the task-bar...
Grahame Grieve (Feb 22 2016 at 19:46):
hah found it. I didn't think to look there

Does anyone here know drupal? The drupal documentation is leaving me rather confused - it assumes I know things I don't. (this is for fhir.org)
