Not sure what stream's truly appropriate for this, so apologies in advance:
We (or someone) might want to update the password requirements stuff in gForge to note that it's "min. 6 characters *and max 30*" (or maybe 40; not quite sure).
Tried several times to set a password of 47 char; it kept telling me I had to have a min of 6 char. Finally started trying amounts less than 47 (even though less secure); it let me set a pw w/29 char.

would be good if HL7 would get into the Federated-Id game -- OAuth + OpenIdConnect

@John Moehrke +1

I'll pass this specific issue on to gForge. We're hoping to migrate off gForge in the next year or so.

*Year*?

I'm hoping we over-deliver

All HL7 tools should have the requirement of supporting Federated ID, specifically through OpenID-Connect...

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Sep 19 2016 at 17:50):

lol. there's no general 'openid-connect' - you have to write each server each time

view this post on Zulip John Moehrke (Sep 19 2016 at 18:28):

Better that, then force all your users to have yet-another-account-and-password... right?

Ah, no John. I simply have the same password for all sites. ;-)

"password"?

No.. "Monkey"

lol

I agree with John, all these different logons are totally unmanagable.

view this post on Zulip Thomas Wicker (Sep 19 2016 at 18:50):

myself, I use letters AND numbers! You know, ABC1234 ("4" because 7 char is definitely more secure than 6 ... )

view this post on Zulip Thomas Wicker (Sep 19 2016 at 18:51):

just don't tell anyone what my password is ...
