Can anyone who provides training for FHIR or tutorials please update: http://wiki.hl7.org/index.php?title=FHIR_Teaching
Grahame Grieve (May 27 2016 at 20:50):
or if you know of something
Lloyd McKenzie (May 27 2016 at 23:26):
This is an odd topic for the post. Do you want HL7's offerings listed?
Grahame Grieve (May 27 2016 at 23:50):
yes. I drew educations attention to the page
Josh Mandel (May 28 2016 at 12:40):
Anyone can go back and edit topics BTW -- just click the little pencil next to the topic in a post.

Added an Event in Germany in September...
Grahame Grieve (May 29 2016 at 09:49):

Michel Rutten (May 30 2016 at 09:47):
@Grahame Grieve I've been giving the HL7 tutorial "FHIR for Specifiers", but I'm not sure if I am allowed to publicly share the slide deck?
Grahame Grieve (May 30 2016 at 13:05):
why would you not? The only reason I can think of is because it's an H7 tutorial, I'm not sure what the rules are there
Michel Rutten (May 30 2016 at 13:16):
I can't find a public download for the slide deck on the HL7 website, so I assume it's not intended for public distribution. Note that the presentation is based on the official HL7 template with HL7 branding. Just trying to avoid conflict with HL7 org. But if you can confirm it's allowed, then I'm happy to share.
Grahame Grieve (May 30 2016 at 19:01):
it's allowed from a FHIR perspective (IP, trademarks) but I'm not sure from an HL7 perspective - you'll have to ask the education committee
Lloyd McKenzie (May 30 2016 at 20:07):
It depends how you fill out your educator's form. I always fill mine out giving joint copyright, then create the slides with a CC license. (That way I don't have to worry if I want to steal my own slides to present somewhere else.)
Lin Zhang (May 30 2016 at 23:41):
I love a CC license and always benefit from it. Many thx to you, the Core Team members.
David Cai (May 30 2016 at 23:52):
Good to see FHIR going to China!
David Hay (May 31 2016 at 00:19):
This was the 4th trip!
Yunwei Wang (May 31 2016 at 00:25):
@David Hay Good Work!
Grahame Grieve (May 31 2016 at 01:20):
David laid lots of good groundwork before my visit. It worked well for me- he does all the work, I get all the outcomes
Michel Rutten (May 31 2016 at 08:04):
I've checked, my presentations also have CC copyright so I guess it's allowed to share. I'll discuss this with Mary-Ann Boyle, just to make sure I'm not stepping on any toes. Once I get confirmation, I'll put the presentation up on the wiki.
David Hay (Jun 01 2016 at 14:38):
I think we all copied from LLoyds originals so inherited the CC declaration!
Rob Hausam (Jun 02 2016 at 12:18):
@Lloyd McKenzie - where are you including the joint copyright language?
some of us, at least, already have it, but it might be good to see what you've done - I would definitely like to do the same with FHIR Terminology
Michel Rutten (Jun 02 2016 at 12:21):
@Rob Hausam my HL7 tutorial slides use the following footer line:
"© 2016 HL7 ® International. Licensed under Creative Commons. HL7 & Health Level Seven are registered trademarks of Health Level Seven International. Reg. U.S. TM Office."
Rob Hausam (Jun 02 2016 at 12:22):
thanks, Michel
Lloyd McKenzie (Jun 03 2016 at 01:30):
@Rob Hausam Actually, I think I decided that, so long as I license under cc, I don't need joint copyright. And having only HL7 made it easier to fit the statement into the slide footer :)
Rob Hausam (Jun 03 2016 at 01:33):
I think that makes sense
did you say anything in the tutorial proposal(s) or related documents, or only the cc license on the slides?
Lloyd McKenzie (Jun 03 2016 at 01:34):
I think I checked the box for joint copyright.
