Topic: Zoom recordings: Where do co-chairs find them?
Dave deBronkart (Feb 28 2021 at 19:43):
I'm certain we've been told, but searching Zulip and the co-chairs listserv has not helped me.
The Patient Empowerment WG has recently switched from GoToMeeting to Zoom. Where do we find our recordings and transcripts? None of us knows, sorry!
Lloyd McKenzie (Feb 28 2021 at 22:38):
If you log into your co-chair zoom account, they should be available there from a menu on your left ("recordings")
Dave deBronkart (Feb 28 2021 at 23:24):
That's what I would have thought (thanks @Lloyd McKenzie !) but that transmutes my question into "What is my co-chair Zoom account"?
Oh wait is this the thing where I log into Zoom as patients-cc@hl7.org or something?
cc @Debi Willis @Virginia Lorenzi
Dave deBronkart (Feb 28 2021 at 23:27):
Oh my goodness thank you @Lloyd McKenzie . None of us knew! It makes perfect sense but.

Lloyd McKenzie (Feb 28 2021 at 23:34):
"but"?
Dave deBronkart (Feb 28 2021 at 23:44):
BUT (a) we didn't think of it being connected to what we did months ago at the WGM; (b) the mobile app doesn't seem to show recordings.
Help? (regarding (b), specifically)
Lloyd McKenzie (Feb 28 2021 at 23:51):
The patients-cc@hl7.org existed before the WGM. It's the work group's general account. I know nothing about the mobile app
Dave deBronkart (Mar 02 2021 at 00:20):
We found the recording and transcript, but the recording asks for a passcode. Help! What memo did we miss?? Obviously a recording's value drops immensely if it can't be viewed :-)
(It's not the pwd for our Zoom login)
The patients-cc@hl7.org existed before the WGM.
I apologize, but for reasons known only to gods (or @Virginia Lorenzi ) we only started using Zoom recently - we were still on GTM. So we are having a sort of "delayed HL7 puberty," if you know what I mean - going through things others did months earlier.
Thank you for your help!
Lloyd McKenzie (Mar 02 2021 at 01:04):
When you set up your meeting, you had the option of establishing your rooms with either a passcode or a waiting room. I suspect the former is what it's looking for. (If people have the full link, then they don't need the passcode to get into the meeting, but it's still there. Try looking at your scheduled meetings.
Dave deBronkart (Mar 02 2021 at 01:31):
Thank you, sir! Oh, THAT "passcode." Now I get to figure out who set it up
Melva Peters (Mar 02 2021 at 02:37):
The passcode is usually set up automatically when you choose to use a passcode for your meeting.
Dave deBronkart (Mar 02 2021 at 03:40):
Thanks again to both of you. Most important, I found how to disable the passcode so we can share freely, to encourage participation. Turns out nobody realized they were opting for that. It's done now!
I love the auto-scrolling transcript.
I wonder if we can convince zoom to give us a custom dictionary so it knows "fire" means "FHIR" in our licensed version! I know Dragon's transcription dictionary for medicine is quite different from the public's
Melva Peters (Mar 02 2021 at 14:11):
@Dave deBronkart if you disable the passcode, make sure you have the waiting room set up!

Is it the same setting for all instances (all meetings of this recurring series)? I thought I was changing the passcode just for this one recording.
It seems odd of Zoom to conflate two seemingly different things: auto-entry into the meeting, and access to the recording. Thanks for the warning!
