If anyone else is using Google Meet to fill the void, I highly recommend this plugin: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-meet-grid-view/bjkegbgpfgpikgkfidhcihhiflbjgfic . It gives you a pretty sweet brady bunch experience.
There is an equivalent plugin for Firefox too that works well.
