Topic: Vendor Support
Dan Dutrow (May 13 2019 at 12:15):
Is there a curated list of FHIR-supporting vendors? I'm interested in knowing if we build FHIR support, how many participating systems there are. In particular, I'm interested in those that support AuditEvent (https://www.hl7.org/fhir/auditevent.html), but would find value in any that provide clinical context like the employee/patient records and encounters/visits.

best list I know is US based - https://fhirendpoints.github.io/ - but it's all argoanut. @John Moehrke might know if an IHE list of ATNA / FHIR Implementations
Dan Dutrow (May 13 2019 at 12:25):
Thanks, that's an interesting list, several of our customers are on there. Do we know if Epic supports the AuditEvent resource?
Grahame Grieve (May 13 2019 at 12:28):
@Danielle Friend ?
John Moehrke (May 13 2019 at 12:32):
You could check with IHE, as there is now a ATNA feed that uses AuditEvent. This is new, so not much in the market yet. From your last question, it seems you are looking for applications that use AuditEvent to record security/privacy relevant events (aka ATNA Secure Node or Secure Application)? Or are you looking for the server side (ATNA Audit Record Repository), or are you looking for apps that do reporting and alerting based on the AuditEvent data (ATNA Audit Consumer)?
John Moehrke (May 13 2019 at 12:38):
IHE has a product registry https://gazelle.ihe.net/content/product-registry
Dan Dutrow (May 13 2019 at 12:38):
Thanks John, I'm looking for a full stream of audit logs, similar to Epic's AUDIT_LOG table. We identify instances where a user accessed a record suspiciously, but require all accesses to know what normal looks like. We wouldn't want a filtered stream. I'd think this would be coming from the server side of most systems.
Dan Dutrow (May 13 2019 at 12:43):
The product registry seems to be what I was looking for.
Danielle Friend (May 13 2019 at 12:59):
Hi Dan, we do not support the FHIR AuditEvent resource but I'd be happy to chat more about your use case - I PM'd you to set up some time to chat.
Michele Mottini (May 13 2019 at 13:46):
For what is worth our (CareEvolution) server supports AuditEvent (the systems with type 'HIEBus' in that list). I don't know of any other US implementation that does though
Stefan Lang (May 13 2019 at 13:48):
We maintain a list for the German market: https://wiki.hl7.de/index.php?title=FHIR-Markt%C3%BCbersicht
But I think it's far from complete.
We also expect at least another 50+ vendors to appear there until summer 2020 since FHIR is set as a base standard in the context of some nationwide mandatory specifications.
