hey all - I need to make a clarification: we are happy to approve people's registered use of the FHIR trademark to refer to events/products of your own. In non-legalse, there are 3 conditions:
- you must ask us in writing first (using the one of the forms on fhir.org)
- you must clearly differentiate, in your use, between "fhir the specification" and your use of FHIR
- you must explain what actions you are taking to ensure that your event/product is conformant/compliant with the specification
Grahame Grieve (Apr 19 2018 at 06:32):
all that is established policy. But I need to issue a clarification:
- we do not - and will not - support anyone registering trademarks of their own that include the HL7 registered trademark "FHIR" as part of another trademark

@Grahame Grieve is name of conference also subject of this regulation? Should we request permission to use FHIR in it?
Grahame Grieve (Apr 19 2018 at 11:14):
is it an Hl7 russia organised event? if so, HL7 Russia doesn't need approval. if it's not, then yes, you do
