Anyone else seen this? I'm wondering why Microsoft is going down the Clinical Data Modelling Path...

it's looks quite a bit FHIRish
Peter Jordan (Dec 08 2021 at 01:01):
... but not FHIR, e.g. look at the model for CodeableConcept.

Keep in mind that the content you're linking (source at https://github.com/microsoft/CDM/tree/master/docs/solutions/Healthcare) was last updated three years ago. Since then, there's an open source FHIR server, managed service for FHIR, and FHIR connectors for MS tooling like Power BI and Dataverse.

Understood, but this data model under-pins Microsoft Dynamics which is being offered as an EHR Solution.

Would love to catch up with you on this front to understand more about where you are seeing anything (i.e., in real world use or active development) that causes concern.
Peter Jordan (Dec 09 2021 at 20:08):
@Josh Mandel that would be awesome if you're able to spare the time. Just PM me if you're able to do that before Xmas.
