For anyone attending the JP Morgan Conference (or Startup Health) in January next month, make sure to come by the Redox Fiesta to get some tacos, margaredoxes, and light integration banter :)

That'd be more fun if it wasn't invite only

Another example of why I need to find an employer (or gig sponsor) to attend such things. I hunger to bring my perspectives to this event - the question is, is anyone interested? And if they're not, what does THAT mean (about JPM)?

JPN is a VC thing.

@Grahame Grieve I know that very well. My point stands. (Not just VC - it's also where the private equity treachery meets VC World.)

That noun doesn't seem tuned to glean you an invite ;)

view this post on Zulip Dave deBronkart (Dec 12 2019 at 23:35):

Clearly I'm not talking to or about the private equity people... there are people attending who actually are trying to (a) improve health worldwide, (b) looking for errors (chinks in the armor) from other participants' worldview.

The people at JPM who ask "Is curing patients a sustainable business model" will have no need for me and vice versa. :-) The people who find that alarming, might (and vice versa).

Some people actually believe there's unmined value in patients' contributions. Hoping to connect with them. :-)

And I'm the first to say this is a long-term play, not an instant fix. My assertion is that overlooking patient-founded value is a paradigm error, and new solutions can be built on a different model.

Well I don't know about JPM but the fiesta is free open invite to anyone in SF that day

Bumping this again. The party is not dependent on having a JPM invite (I certainly do not). Tacos and margaritas will flow freely like wine and great minds of health tech will flock like the salmon of Capistrano. If you're living or will be in the Bay Area, you should come next week
