Topic: Generate HL7 SIU by CLI

Could anybody please point me to a CLI tool that is able to generate HL7 SIU messages. I searched for SIU here and found no results... so sorry if I am wrong here with my question. What I want to achieve is to send test/example messages to a system in order to check how they are exposed as HL7 FHIR appointment resources. Thanks a lot.

sounds like you just need a sample SIU message then?

This question should go into v2 stream...

Interesting. So I could craft a SIU message (or use an example one) and use nc or similar to send it to the IP and port of the target system?

(Would like to switch to v2 stream. Just by continuing there...)

@Jens Villadsen Can you please answer in the mentioned stream and mention me there so I find it. Sorry, still new here. I used the search function...

Yes. I found that one and also http://dev.patientsknowbest.com/home/hl7-api/messages/siu-s12 which I will try. Next step would be to craft custom message. I played with parsing HL7 so crafting should be possible. Or do people "just write" those messages ("head and pipe" format) in an editor?

You can use an editor or not. Thats up to you. I've previously used 7Edit but any editor will do
