Having just been exposed (by @Virginia Lorenzi @Lisa Nelson @Debi Willis et al) to my first run-through of how HL7 WGs work, with the frenetic interconnections between WGs etc, I can't escape concluding that HL7 is in fact a gigantic beehive, including countless significant signaling dances that convey immensely important information in each split second of contact.
Lloyd McKenzie (Oct 11 2019 at 17:24):
We continue to work on how to scale to include more bees and make the signalling devices easier to learn and more efficient

Eat more bee vitamins?

It's been a open source software analogy for a long time: https://wiki.pentaho.com/display/BEEKEEPER/The+Beekeeper :) (I used to work at an OSS services company called The Hyve) :bee:
Dave deBronkart (Oct 14 2019 at 14:53):
The analogy makes sense, but in DECADES of software-related work I've never seen anything like this. (OTOH I've never gotten embedded in an open source project before.)
Mark Kramer (Oct 14 2019 at 14:55):
I'm beginning to really like you, @Dave deBronkart :joy:
