FhirShield.com is for sale. I have the ownership. Anyone can buy from me.

Ummm..... wiki.hl7.org/index.php?title=FHIR_Trademark_Policy
@Grahame Grieve
Grahame Grieve (Sep 14 2018 at 21:37):
yes. you can own any of the infinite number of domains that have fhir in their name, but if you want to use them, you need trademark permission from HL7. Note that HL7 policy precludes using "FHIR" in your company name; you can only use it in the names of products (e.g. libraries, services) and events
David Hay (Sep 14 2018 at 23:18):
Does this not come under the restriction against advertising as discussed here: https://chat.fhir.org/#narrow/stream/35-fmg-(members.20only)/topic/Limitation.20on.20forum.20use.20for.20marketing ? (Quite apart from the distaste I have for cyber squatting - I'm assuming this has a 'for profit' intention )
Grahame Grieve (Sep 14 2018 at 23:19):
presumeably that's why it's being discussed, but it's not a rule now
Muhammad Abubakar Ikram (Sep 15 2018 at 05:49):
No no. Firstly, most respectfully my intention was not for profit purposes. If it is against any policy my mistake then I extremely apologize for that. I really really don't want to be in any rule violence I am really really sorry that.
Secondly I am not going to use fhir in any of the company name.
We have bought two domains for the product I mention that for the product not for the company as stated above. So we finalized one of them and I just thought to sell the another one. So I just posted here. If I known before I would surely would not have posted here.
I really apologize for that again.
Muhammad Abubakar Ikram (Sep 15 2018 at 05:53):
I would also go through all the proper channels and will read and acknowledge all the trademark policy.
Lloyd McKenzie (Sep 15 2018 at 13:57):
@Muhammad Abubakar that clarification helps significantly. If anyone wants your unneeded domain, they can certainly respond to you by PM. If the name you have chosen includes the word FHIR, just make sure to fill out the FHIR licensing request.
Muhammad Abubakar Ikram (Sep 15 2018 at 17:40):
@Lloyd McKenzie Thanks for the acknowledgment. Of course we will do.
David Hay (Sep 15 2018 at 18:39):
glad to have that clarified! Hope it works out for you...
