Patrick Werner (Apr 05 2016 at 12:43):
Hi, i just searched for dates of the 2016 FHIR connectathons. If i remember correctly there will be one in europe. Madrid if i remember correctly. It would be nice to block my calendar for the connectathon.
Kevin Mayfield (Apr 05 2016 at 12:50):
Sounds interesting. Do you have dates?
Patrick Werner (Apr 05 2016 at 12:52):
no im trying to get the date :)
Kevin Mayfield (Apr 05 2016 at 13:27):
Thought you might be. @René Spronk is bound to respond with the dates?? :)
René Spronk (Apr 05 2016 at 13:47):
Hmm - I haven't heard about such an event in Madrid, HL7 Spain could well be up to arranging something. HL7 Italy wanted to do a hackathon in conjunction with the IHIC in Genoa, but decided otherwise. The biggest event in Europe will be in Amsterdam, the FHIR DevDays, see http://fhir.furore.com/devdays for dates, and select the 2015 tab to get an impression of last years meeeting. We've seen small hackathon events in the UK and Germany, I'm not aware of any other European locations..
Ewout Kramer (Apr 05 2016 at 13:51):
Yes! We're working on the first draft of the DevDays 2016 program, will be on the website soon...
Simone Heckmann (Apr 06 2016 at 06:23):
There's a HL7 WGM in Madrid in 2017 that will certainly come with a connectathon. You mean that?

David Boerner (Apr 21 2016 at 08:00):
I believe this even in Genoa Italy has a connectathon but I can't get any response from the organizers, the only contact is an email address that nobody responds to. Is anyone here part of this? http://ihic2016.eu/Default.aspx
Simone Heckmann (Apr 21 2016 at 19:18):
@dr Kai U. Heitmann : can you comment on that?
dr Kai U. Heitmann (Apr 22 2016 at 03:58):
@David Boerner To my knowledge (I am at the program committee and talked to others) there is no connectathon planned at IHIC in Genoa.
David Boerner (Apr 22 2016 at 07:53):
Thanks @dr Kai U. Heitmann I think I'll probably sit this one out then.
Ewout Kramer (Apr 26 2016 at 14:15):
That's what I understood too (since I'd be the one to run it, I'd probably know by now ;-)
