I've walked the Botanical Gardens (https://goo.gl/maps/qGPjJaxPECzYuuiq6, open till 8pm) to Mrs Macquaries Point (https://goo.gl/maps/rRBNch1d3LnxoMQF6). The garden is pretty itself and has great views of the bay, Opera House and the bridge.

Agreed, when I was there 2.5 years ago that garden was a pleasure. In fact now that I think of it, I'm right pissed off that I'm not back there again. :-) (I need a new employer...)

@Ward Weistra @Dave deBronkart Looks a good option but looks like it's open till 8 PM. I read about Bondi each, I hope there would be no time restrictions there. What's the best way to reach there from darling square and any suggestions what to do at Bondi Beach ?

Bus 333!

Cool

@Chidamber Kumar Have you seen the conference Wifi password? ;) Bus 333 gets you there easily. It shouldn't have opening times. I've done the walk from there down to Bronte beach, which was very nice and not too far: https://www.bestsydneywalks.com/bondi-to-bronte-walk/. You can take the bus back from there to Bondi Junction and back to the center.

all waterfront land is public land in Australia, and never closed. But you might no always be able to get to some of it

Pretty sure that's not true all over Australia

view this post on Zulip Jim Steel (Feb 04 2020 at 03:44):

Definitely don't try it at Jervis Bay

Hi guys! How's it going?
Thanks for previous suggestions. I was looking for some spots today, narrowed down to South head. But I don't think we gonna spend whole eve at South head. Any suggestions, where we can stop by on the way to/back from South head or probably late night happening spots ?
