view this post on Zulip Lin Zhang (Dec 07 2016 at 09:36):

Why am I unable to login the Zulip App of android verion using my email address and password but the browser of my android mobile is OK for my login? The app always says my username or password is incorrect. Thanks.

are you setting the domain somewhere?

view this post on Zulip Lloyd McKenzie (Dec 07 2016 at 14:36):

The domain should be "chat.fhir.org" not "https://chat.fhir.org" for the iOS app, if that helps.

view this post on Zulip Lin Zhang (Dec 07 2016 at 18:19):

Does the android App need to access Google ? It would be unsolvable problem if yes.

view this post on Zulip Lin Zhang (Dec 07 2016 at 18:19):

What domain?

view this post on Zulip Lin Zhang (Dec 07 2016 at 18:19):

Google has been block from us.

Thanks.

There are only two fields (each for username and password) on the App's start screen and no menu for setting.

view this post on Zulip Lin Zhang (Dec 07 2016 at 18:19):

Blocked, I mean.

There should be a space where you can indicate that you want to connect to chat.fhir.org (as opposed to some other zulip server). I don't think it should require Google access unless you choose the "sign in using your google id" option. Unfortunately I don't have the Android app, so we'll need @Josh Mandel or someone else to provide more specific guidance

view this post on Zulip Josh Mandel (Dec 07 2016 at 18:40):

You should see, on android, an initial screen that says "Welcome to Zulip! Please enter your server URL", and there you can put chat.fhir.org.

If not @Lin Zhang , what version of Android are you running?

view this post on Zulip Josh Mandel (Dec 07 2016 at 18:40):

(You do *not* need to sign in with a Google account.)

view this post on Zulip Lin Zhang (Dec 08 2016 at 02:19):

The app does not ask for the server URL.

view this post on Zulip Lin Zhang (Dec 08 2016 at 02:19):

On the initial screen, there are only two fields: Email and Password.

Android 6.0

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Dec 08 2016 at 02:20):

do you get a version of zulip anywhere?

view this post on Zulip Lin Zhang (Dec 08 2016 at 02:52):

Yes, I got one from @亚南 李 . But it seems not working properly. The android app cannot be directly downloaded because Google is blocked. Would you mind send me one via email?

view this post on Zulip Josh Mandel (Dec 08 2016 at 02:54):

I don't know a good way to do they other than building it (https://github.com/zulip/zulip-android/blob/master/README.rst has instructions)

view this post on Zulip Josh Mandel (Dec 08 2016 at 03:08):

Otherwise (I'm not sure I trust it) you can try https://m.apkpure.com/zulip/com.zulip.android which looks plausible

view this post on Zulip Josh Mandel (Dec 08 2016 at 03:23):

I tried emailing you that file.

@Josh Mandel Wow, it's working! Awesome! Thanks a lot! And this reply came from the App :)
