Stream: cds hooks
Topic: should github post to the primary cds hooks stream?
Isaac Vetter (May 07 2017 at 11:03):
Hey Everybody - what do you think of moving the github notifications to a dedicated zulip stream? (maybe cds-hooks-github)? You'd have to subscribe to an additional stream (if you want to get pushes for github issues/comments), but on the flip side, it would be easier to see the actual cds-hooks conversations.
Is this something that we should do? thoughts?

to creating a new cds-hooks-github stream and pushing the Github notifications there

@Josh Mandel or others - any objections to directing Github notifications to a new cds-hooks-github stream?
Josh Mandel (May 08 2017 at 15:06):
No objections — it's a great idea!
Kevin Shekleton (May 08 2017 at 15:36):
Ok, done. I created the new cds-hooks-github stream and auto-subscribed everyone subscribed to cds-hooks to this new stream. That ensures everyone who was receiving these notifications still gets them and if you now want to mute the Github notifications can you by simply muting / adjusting your notification preferences for the new stream.

@Kevin Shekleton Do you expect the comments posted on github or to the cds-hooks-github track here?
Kevin Shekleton (May 09 2017 at 13:24):
@Sunanda Veeraganti - All new Github issues and comments on issues now get posted to the cds-hooks-github stream
