Thanks to those who joined today's CDS Hooks Sprint call!

If you've got ideas for sprints, please slot into https://github.com/cds-hooks/cds-hooks-wiki/wiki/Sprint-Ideas

And add issues to the GH Issues page at https://github.com/cds-hooks/cds-hooks-wiki/issues (and try assigning them to a Sprint milestone)

How about we tackle 1 or 2 technical issues that needs a decision as part of the every Sprint like the infrastructure items. For example in Sprint 1 we can take on the issue "Decide how services publish metadata" . Sprint members interested in this conversation should participate in the discussion and by end of sprint 1 we can have a decision on this. I feel like this kind of assignment to sprints will help us have a focused discussion on issues.

I think that's a good idea @Kalyani Yerra

Is there a plan for regular Voice Conferences?

view this post on Zulip Kevin Shekleton (Mar 21 2016 at 16:54):

Not to my knowledge yet.

I like this plan. And we don't have a plan for regular calls but we can add them if it's useful!

I like the idea of having regular calls. End of each sprint to celebrate the success of the current sprint and plan for the next sprint.

@Josh Mandel I remember seeing the JNC-8 app in your demo on Thursday, but I haven't been able to replicate seeing that. Is that app not configured on hooks.fhir.me?

view this post on Zulip Josh Mandel (Mar 23 2016 at 17:26):

Sorry for this "hidden feature". A few demo Hooks are all packed into the "pediatric dosing" service. You need to enable that, and then choose hypertension as your treatment intent. (Note that the "JNC8 App" is really just a hard coded screen that demonstrates the workflow.)

view this post on Zulip Joel Longtine (Mar 23 2016 at 17:27):

Gotcha! OK, thanks @Josh Mandel . I appreciate the clarification. :)

I am really thrilled with the progress that happened on CDS-Hooks before and during the connectathon. I noticed that there is sprint schedule defined for CDS-Hooks sprint program. Are there any scheduled teleconference calls established? Do we have a google doc with EHRs and CDS services listed for the sprint schedule like we did for Argonaut.

view this post on Zulip Josh Mandel (May 18 2016 at 17:18):

Thanks Kalyani! We've been taking the time since the Connectathon to get some infrastructure in order, and thanks to a ton of help from @Matt Berther this is shaping up beautifully.

view this post on Zulip Josh Mandel (May 18 2016 at 17:21):

Regarding Sprints, I'm beginning to suspect that the most productive way forward might be a bit more targeted than the Argonaut process, by identifying specific combinations of (EHR, CDS Service, and Healthcare Provider) where we can push the technology forward. This "triad" seems like it might be the best wedge to drive our efforts forward while staying focused on productive expansions of scope. (Of course, continuous testing efforts against our own reference tools would be available!)

And I agree we should maintain a spreadsheet of all participants, no matter what, for an easy view of the landscape.

view this post on Zulip Josh Mandel (May 18 2016 at 17:23):

Does this make sense? Other ideas?

view this post on Zulip Kalyani Yerra (May 18 2016 at 17:26):

Josh, I certainly like that idea and we at Premier will be interested in participating as a CDS service provider with different triads. So I am thinking the triad will define a use case and drive the use case from start to finish while enhancing the spec to reach the goal in a simplified and effective way?

view this post on Zulip Kalyani Yerra (May 18 2016 at 17:28):

For example one triad can focus on synchronous workflow and another triad can focus on subscription based model for asychronous workflow

view this post on Zulip Josh Mandel (May 18 2016 at 22:50):

I think that sounds quite promising. Do you want to help think about potential partnerships for a Premier triad?

view this post on Zulip Kalyani Yerra (May 19 2016 at 05:12):

Sure Josh, I can definitely help. May be as step1 I will think about a use case scenario and document it
